HEY Special Stars Foundation - Support and advice

HEY Special Stars Foundation support just over 3,000 families affected by disability in the Hull and East Yorkshire region, operating from their premises on the floor 3 of Princes Quay in the heart of Hull City Centre.

They have a huge event space from which they run inclusive activities for disabled children and creative learning and social events for adults with learning disabilities. They run support groups, craft workshops, seminars and training sessions for parent carers.

Next door, in their adjacent unit, they have a specialist shop stocking disability-specific equipment, sensory toys, learning resources and much more! The shop is open to the general public 6 days a week. Customers are welcome to pop in and browse, or order online using their free click-and-collect service or have their order posted out.

Within the building, they also have a large sensory room which is kitted out with some fantastic sensory equipment. The Sensory Room is fully wheelchair accessible, and they also have a mobile hoist so that absolutely everyone can enjoy this amazing sensory experience.
