The Government has launched a national consultation about improving support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The consultation—SEND Reform: Putting Children and Young People First—was published on Monday 23 February and is seeking the views of families across England.
The proposals aim to:
- provide help earlier and more fairly,
- make support more consistent wherever you live,
- improve cooperation between schools, councils, and health services,
- ensure children and young people get the right support at the right time.
