Medical 

Community Paediatrics 

Community Paediatrics is part of the Family and Women’s Health Group. The aim of the children’s service is to provide an excellent standard of nursing care to all children and their families within a caring and sensitive environment. 

The unit promotes family centred care, as a child is a unique member of a family and dependent on their love and support. Through discussions, a partnership between the parents and health professionals can be established to provide individualised care to meet the needs of your child. With support and guidance there is nothing parents cannot do for their child. 

Continence Care 

Continence Care offer assessment, advice, support and treatment for enuresis (involuntary weeing, especially at night - Hull GP only) and idiopathic constipation (constipation without a known cause - Hull and East Riding). 

Provision and review of continence products for all children and young people across Hull and East Riding, following a plan of toileting intervention and assessment of clinical need, once the child is over 4 years of age. 

Podiatry Service Hull 

Podiatry Service deals with the health of feet and lower limbs, diagnosing and treating problems affecting the feet, ankles and legs to help improve your mobility and independence. 

Community Nutrition and Dietetics (Children and Adults) 

The team of dietitians and dietetic associate practitioners provide specialist nutritional advice to help prevent and treat disease as well as improve health and wellbeing. 

They offer a range of face-to-face appointments, including - 

  • clinics 

  • home visits for housebound patients 

  • video calls 

  • telephone appointments 

depending on patient preference, need and availability. They also provide group education sessions. 

Children’s outpatients 

Children’s Outpatients consists of Outpatient clinics for children and young people aged between 0 and 16 years (up to 18 years for some conditions). They deliver general clinics for childhood illness and surgical conditions including - 

  • respiratory 

  • neurology 

  • dietetics 

Therapies 

Community Physiotherapy (Children) 

They are a team of physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants who specialise in treating children. They aim to improve the quality of life of children and young people by promoting independence and encouraging physical fitness and wellbeing. 

Children's Physiotherapy - Hull Royal Infirmary 

The Children's Physiotherapy team supports children and young people to develop their physical abilities, promote independence, and improve functional skills.  

Occupational Therapy Service – Children

Hull Children's Occupational Therapy Service is for children living in the Hull community. 

Nursing 

Community Children's Nursing Service

Community Children's Nursing Service are a team of Children's Nurses, Adult and Learning Disability Nurses, Health and Development Practitioners and Health Care Support Workers in a family friendly, needs-led service for children, young people, their families and carers. 

District Nursing (Adults)

Community nursing services provide care in people's homes, in health centres and healthy living community centres. 

Sexual Health

Conifer - Sexual Health Services 13 to 25 year olds 

Conifer Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare Services is a progressive and innovative service. It is provided by City Health Care Partnership CIC where - 

  • Genitourinary Medicine (GUM)
  • family planning 
  • community gynaecology 
  • social services
  • non-statutory services
  • voluntary services 

work together to offer a holistic service in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. 

Dental 

City Health Dental 

City Health Dental provide specialist oral healthcare for children from 0 to 16 years whose needs cannot be managed by their family dentist. 

Our Adult Special Care Dentistry Service is for patients in Hull and East Riding who are over 16 years old and have needs that cannot be dealt with at their normal dental practice. 

Children's 0-19 Health Visiting and School Nursing 

The IPHNS aims to empower families to make informed and positive decisions about health. The Healthy Child Programme provides individual and tailored support. To make sure that children receive appropriate referrals to specialist services. Also, families have access to wider support systems. The programme will make sure that each family receives support. 

Keyworker Service 

Humber and North Yorkshire Dynamic Support Keyworker Service 

The Humber and North Yorkshire Dynamic Support Keyworker Service supports autistic people and people with a learning disability or both up to the age of 25, with the most complex needs and are inpatients in, or at risk of being admitted to, a mental health inpatient unit. 

Support and Advice Offer 

Yorkshire MESMAC (Sexual Health) 

Yorkshire MESMAC is one of the oldest and largest sexual health organisations in the country. We offer services to various communities across Yorkshire, including men who have sex with men, people of colour and other marginalised races, people misusing drugs, sex workers and LGBT+ young people and adults. 

Victoria Brattan Children's Physiotherapy 

Victoria Brattan is a Chartered Physiotherapist based in East Yorkshire specialising in offering expert paediatric physiotherapy for ages 0 to 18. 

Rehab Jigsaw 

Rehab Jigsaw provides independent occupational therapy services throughout the UK. They have an experienced, professional team delivering bespoke yet cost effective solutions. They work with clients experiencing the effects of illness or injury upon their ability to complete day to day activities at home, work or in education. Rehab Jigsaw was established by Occupational Therapists and is managed by Occupational Therapists. 

The Hull and District Cerebral Palsy Society 

The mission for The Hull and District Cerebral Palsy Society is to provide support and friendship for people with cerebral palsy in the Hull and surrounding district.
