St. Michael’s Youth Project supports children and young people aged 5 to 24 years old and their families in an area of high social and economic disadvantage. Our “asset based” approach enables us to identify and promote the strengths of the community and seek to change negative perceptions.

Established for over 30 years, we have built strong trusted relationships within the community. This places us in a unique position to adapt to a changing landscape and be receptive and responsive to local needs. We provide a vital lifeline to many young people and families in the form of food provision and social engagement. We offer a safe environment to spend time with friends, learn new skills and have new experiences. Our aim is to promote positive emotional and physical development for a healthier more resilient community.
