During this class we discover all areas of the performing arts in a fun and relaxed environment, where the primary focus is to make friends and enjoy themselves! These activities include musical theatre, dancing, playing with musical instruments and learning Makaton to some of their favourite songs. This class is open to teenagers, young adults and adults of all ages and they already have a mix of age ranges currently attending who can’t wait to make more, new friends.

Concrete Youth

Concrete Youth is a charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of people labelled as having profound and multiple learning disabilities through cultural provision.

Cinema

A number of cinemas run regular autism-friendly film sessions. The films are shown with low-level lighting and reduced sound-levels and the auditorium is opened before each showing to allow audiences time to familiarise themselves with the space before the start of the film.

The screenings are aimed at both children and adults on the autistic spectrum, along with their carers, families and/or friends, so it is fine for audiences to move around, make noise and take breaks during the film.

Museums

From deep-sea trawlers to ancient treasures, modern art to maritime heritage – you’ll find a world of wonder at Hull Museums.

You can find accessibility for each of the museums and gallery on their pages.
